ShopWeight
Material weight, worked from the published tables.
$10.99 CADONE TIME
You need a number in ten seconds, with gloves on and no signal. ShopWeight looks it up in the published tables instead of running one general formula, so W8x31 returns the mill's 31 lb/ft and 6 inch schedule 40 comes off ASME B36.10M.
It covers twelve stock shapes and runs pipe from 1/8 to 24 inch across schedules 5 through 160, plus STD, XS and XXS. Beams and channels come off their mill designation. Rebar keeps the American and Canadian standards apart. Past metal it handles lumber by species, sheet goods, masonry, concrete with bag counts, and ten fluids by specific gravity. Type fractions the way a print writes them and save the sizes you run every week.

What it will and will not tell you
Every figure ShopWeight returns is an estimate drawn from published data. Verify it before any rigging, lifting or load bearing use.
Where the method is approximate the app says so on the screen where it happens. Enter a beam by measured dimension and it reads slightly light, because it models sharp corners, so it flags that and offers the mill designation route instead. Every table lists the standard it came from.
